Steinbergen - a dreamy village, contemplative and quietly at the hub of the weserbergland world - lying centrally between Hameln and Minden and only 30 minutes away from Hannover and Hannover airport by car. The autobahn A2 runs along about 3 kilometres from the hotel (exit 35 Bad-Eilsen).
About 800 meters away from the hotel, the "Erlebnispark steinzeichen steinbergen" was developed with the Expo 2000 project "jahrtausendblick" ("view of the century"). In this theme park all senses of the visitors should be activated: e.g. with futuristic architecture, 3D shows or artistically converted themes like human, nature and technology. And the view from the look-out is marvellous!
Two minutes by car of Steinbergen are the Schaumburg and the Paschenburg located in the middle of a beautiful forrest.
You have an admirable view of the Weser valley from there. The Schaumburg is a well preserved castle, which is also the location for private views of the local art scene. Beyond that the Schaumburger Burgfest takes place on the Schaumburg - a very recommendable medieval fair.
In the close surrounding area of the hotel are appealing trails accessible to the hiker, which lead to different viewpoint of the Weser Uplands.
Also near by the hotel runs the Weserradweg. A very nice possibility to relax and be physically active.
